It is a national holiday here in Costa Rica today. We are very happy to celebrate our Labor Day, May 1st with the team. With many people off work, we enjoyed having the restaurant full of visitors. The rain held off and everyone was able to spend a relaxing day down on Playa Danta!
For days I've been passing by a certain spot in Calle la Ronda, following the progress of the latest staircase being built.
Whenever I'm watching a sunset, I normally miss the moment the sun disappears into the horizon. I’m usually distracted by everything happening around this.
We are delighted to announce the sale of Calle Cartagena #6. There are just a few more available lots in this side of town. It is certainly our most active area of construction currently, with over a dozen homes under construction and more breaking ground soon. This is an older photo, but shows the ...
Happened on this photo of #15 Paseo del Mar, Casa Tom. This home has such a wonderful feel off the entryway, which leads in to an intimate interior courtyard. Here is a throwback link to a few courtyards that can be found here. One of our Town Architects had put this and a few other photo ...
It's Malinche tree blooming season. All bright orange patches you see in mountains now are Royal Poincianas or Flamboyants. With more humidity in the air, we are getting unbelievable sunsets this week. Everyone must get down to the beach for sunset. The tide is low in the evenings, and there is a very solid swell in this week. Great surfing and body boarding at sunset is such a great way to end the day.
Calle Cartagena #11 has begun construction! With homes to the south along Calle Cartagena also underway or complete, this well proportioned home will extend the development in this section of town. It is essentially a beach front home, and is a focal point for those walking down the sand. This is ...

There was a sudden dark gray sky, a low rumble of some far away thunder, the smell we had been waiting for for months, and finally that sound of strongly pouring rain. I have always related walks in the ...
Have you ever sat near a busy, open kitchen and overheard the back-of-house team and wondered what the heck they were talking about? One of the more prominent voices you may here is that of the expeditor. This person monitors the scheduling and quality of the dishes, such as the appropriate ...
The Camino Catalinas building is starting quickly take shape. Walking past you can see the european style half round copper rain gutters. The shape of this rain gutter allows for optimal water flow, leaving behind less leaves and debris. The back lip prevents overflow and locks the gutter into ...
I guess we have to give in every once in a while and go full on throwback Thursday. This is just two years ago. Steady progress since then, each making town better. Excited to think of where we will be at in two more years.
I look up at Casa Chameleon from the beach sometimes and have to start singing;
