There might be more seabirds around because change in water temperature brings a lot of nutrients up to the surface, which attracts small baitfish which birds feed on, but also Costa Rica is part of many species’ migration routes. Though relatively small in size, Costa Rica is home to one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world. Throughout the country there are 920 different species of birds.
