With four hundred people laying their heads to rest here tonight, our little Town in the Northwest of Costa Rica is proudly taking shape. A big thank you to the thousands of colleagues that have helped make this important new town a reality. Wishing you all continued success in 2018 and beyond. ...
We got rain on Friday, around 4PM! It was not much, just enough to cool everything off and set us up for a wonderful sunset. The rain fell for maybe thirty minutes. Then, with low tide at 5PM, the sunset show started. It was one of those sunsets that drew everyone down to the beach. It was so nice ...
Last night was so much fun. We had multiple events going on around Town. There was a carnival show by the beach in Limonada. There was a beautiful setup next to a small bonfire with a smore table. The restaurant was humming the entire evening, kids were free and having fun.
Posting from down at the rocking chairs at Pura Vida Ride this morning. I ran the loop "reverso" this morning, and got to see a lot of friends out riding MTB or trail running in the opposite direction. I must have passed a dozen others out there enjoying the cool morning.
The Beach Club at Las Catalinas continues to be a wonderful addition to life here. With the Puente San Miguel operating, we have been able to just have people enjoying the Beach Club there and not just folks passing through. The pavers for Calle Virginia and Calle Cartagena have been ordered, and ...
Low 80s with onshore wind.
Puente San Miguel is open.
Ping for pong? We finished our outdoor ping pong tables and people love them! The Papagayo winds have been blowing pretty strong in the afternoons, but nights and mornings are a lot of fun. Get your game together, best of three matches wins!
Low tide is in the middle of the day today and tomorrow. Beach days are perfect when the tide is low. It is great for walking around and exploring tide pools, going along the rocks to Dantita, or joining a pickup game of football on the beach. See you out there!
Things are getting busier around Town. Everyone is helping wherever they can to make the best of this festive season for town visitors and residents. Thanks to all for making this happen.
We are using #LasCatalinas now.
Window shopping at Pura Vida Ride! They have all the goods down at the shop for holiday gifts. The new Patagonia section is new and easily has the widest selection in Guanacaste.
Having nature so close to Beach Town is definitely part of living well. We find that not having to get in a car to go do activities is one of the key ingredients here. One is more likely to be active, when it involves just walking out your front door to the sea, the mountains, or some of the lively ...
We just passed low tide, which will build up until an 8ft high tide at 2:30PM. We will have a new moon coming in tomorrow. Not much swell in the water for the next few days. For what we have, Playa Danta will put up some fun SUP Surf this week for us. Get down to PVR if you want to give it a try!
Congratulations to WAKE! The team has moved in to their space in Plaza Central and is beginning to accept bookings.
Thanks to everyone participating in the Tri-Camp this weekend. The open water swim will be a great start to the weekend. Big thanks to Connect Ocean for making this happen. Have fun!
