Most of the office here in Town today are closed in observation of Día de las Culturas. Hopefully we have many of our team out enjoying the time with family and friends.
Our first owners stayed in the main Carlota Building this weekend. Next time you visit, I would encourage you take a tour. There are so many interesting parts of this building to explore. As the final units get punched out, we will start filling out the planters. We have a wide selection of ...
Clear morning for those who got up early and enjoyed it. We may get some rain in the afternoon, certainly some slow moving clouds. Soft on-shore winds are carrying a system through the north of the country. An eight foot high tide just crested at 9:30AM, so the low will be in the late afternoon. ...
Spooky...Friday the 13th! A good day to remind everyone of our annual Halloween Party. There is really no better place to come enjoy a walkable town with a young family. We will have some fun games and usually a lot of doors to knock on for trick or treat. Hope you can join us on the 28th!
Concrete pump pouring out the first floor of Punta Penca #16 in the background of this photo. This is one of the downhill lots in Punta Penca, it sorta steps down to the beachfront. I think this home does a great job of using covered outdoor space. In watching people visit their homes here, the ...
Today is move in day for a new owner on the top floor of Plaza Central. This penthouse unit was finished out, but decisions on the kitchen furniture and layout were left to each owner. How do we get large furniture pieces up through tight spaces, a tele-handler! The guys have sent up six or seven ...
It is great to see so many homes getting renovations and refreshes this October. We have improvements being made all along Paseo del Mar. The maintenance team from Catalinas Property Management Services (CPMS) has teams in seven homes this morning, getting the homes in the rental program looking ...
The team at Agroforestales did an assessment of the trail system today, with the exception of Secreto. The trail with the most severe damage is Zapotal with 3 major landslides that would require a major rearrangement of the trail.
The tower, Kendall Watson, made a dramatic equalizer at the last second to punch the ticket for Costa Rica to the World Cup. It was just what everyone needed. We invited all of the Town guests and employees to the upstairs at Limonada, and put out some simple bar snacks. The game was slow moving, ...
One of the great ambassadors of Costa Rica is Keylor Navas. The world knows him as the starting goalkeeper for Real Madrid CF. While his jersey hangs in stores globally, he has also become a national icon here on the Costa Rican national squad.
The storm has passed, and the sun is trying it’s best to separate from the clouds. The majority of our colleagues are doing fine, and the Town suffered no damages. We had a few renters and residents that were good humored about the whole thing. We were fortunate enough to have power, water, and ...
The rain continues. We had a morning of steady rain in the area. Most of the schools were closed and many people in the area were without power. We were lucky enough to be able to help where we could. Clearing roads, giving rides, and trying to keep people updated.
We have gotten 20 inches of rain in the last week, and are expecting five more inches today! What is incredible is how well everything reacts to these changes. The land management practices at Las Catalinas have done a tremendous job in handling the swings from dry to green season.
After a season of offering the first hourly car rental service in Guanacaste, we have now partnered with ZipCar. Today we received a fleet of new SUVs to offer for visitors and residents on an hourly basis.
So it did end up raining yesterday afternoon, and has not stopped since. One of the better waterfalls at Las Catalinas is running really strong as a result. There are a lot of waterfalls running this time of year, it is fun to get out and enjoy them. Let us know if you want to go see some.
Made a quick run up to the airport yesterday. The clean up on the Monkey Trail continues. There is a road roller and a grader working. The timing is not great, as some of it will wash away before summer arrives, but it is still pretty great news.
