The last few walk throughs are going on for Calle Cartagena #19. This is the first home to frame out the plaza behind the beach club, known as Plaza Celaje. The four other homes that touch this plaza are all underway. We will be very excited to complete the move in for the home owner in the coming ...
Hard to imagine, but this is our first attempt at a ping pong table. Hoping to make something we can keep down by the beach, we intend on making two of these and start pinging for pong with you soon.
There is a new roast in town. Get down to PVR and try the new blend Jake has created. In the last week, it has gone from really good to great. It has a really nice acidity and a bit of a punch when you step up from a single to double shot. The coffee may have changed, but it is still best enjoyed ...
It is that time of year again. The Reto is back! On this version, the segment is called the Reto Duro. There is an extra 5k on the route, and another 200meters of elevation gain. Follow the link below to see how the leaders are doing!
Those that ride our trails a lot enjoy using Strava. I was looking on there and see we have nearly 500 attempts on some of the segments. No doubt that being out and active on the trails is a big part of enjoying Las Catalinas.
This is my new favorite photo of Las Catalinas. It really captures the measured growth of Beach Town and invites me to go visit. I hope you like it, and that you come explore Las Catalinas soon!
Last night we enjoyed the combination of a full moon and perfectly clear atmospheric conditions. Tonight it is forecasted to be very similar, so make plans to get out for a hike, ride, or paddle!
So those little lips got installed on the Carlota Plaza fountain, and they work! Sara, one of the Town Architects, got the water to make perfect little droplets from those lips. Here is a video of the test. The sound is pitch perfect and it looks great.
This is a hidden plaza atop the Flats on Avenida La Antigua. It is one of those places you have to visit in Las Catalinas. The view of the rooftops is fantastic. The planter for the tree has a lip on it, which is at sitting level. This almendro tree provides shade, and adds to the beauty.
This time of year, the sun sets right between the islands. Once the bulb of the sun touches the water, it takes just two minutes for it to disappear.
Gelato at Pura Vida ride. I have a hard time not getting one, when you can smell the waffle cones being made.
Thanks to our resident helicopter pilot and security director for taking some photos of Las Catalinas this weekend. This link will take you to a 360 view of town that is fun to explore.
Head down to the Sales Office. We have a few hand plane boards there, which makes body surfing a lot of fun. If you want one made, we can get one done up at the wood shop for you. Or even better, come up and make one with us!
I think we have some football games on TV today, but games down on the beach seem more appropriate today.
Sun was up this morning just after 5AM, it was a comfortable 72 Degrees. The parakeets were up and were seemingly very busy. They have been hanging out in a panama tree over by Calle la Ronda in the early morning and then again at dusk.
Turns out that being at Las Catalinas for the U.S. Thanksgiving is a great choice. The weather is near perfect, and spending time with friends and family is so easy.
