It’s been mostly a sunny day in town with a few clouds and just some lost raindrops around midday, but no rain so far- altough you can hear rumbling of thunder far away. Nice temperaturas between 23 °C and 29°C, a refreshing breeze and one meter waves, enough for some fun wave riding at Playa Danta
Early today, Mars was as close as it has been to Earth since 2003 and it won’t be closer until 2287. The red planet appeared as an extremely bright, star-like object that was visible for much of the night, slightly reddish and shining much steadier than a star. If you missed it, don’t worry...Mars ...
Yesterday late afternoon the sky was one of those with an incredible spectacle by nature. Towards the ocean an amazing sunset which started off with mostly yellow tones, then orange and after the sun went down, it went pink then purple. Towards the mountains in Zapotal valley there was a rainbow, ...
Today, as every July 25th, we are celebrating the Annexation of the Nicoya Party to Costa Rica, which took place in 1824.
It's very exciting when different parts of town get connected, for example, when San Miguel bridge was open and you could get to cross it for the first time. We have had a couple of days without rain. The mostly clear sky yesterday night let us see the full moon. For today we are expecting a few short refreshing showers later in the afternoon, and cool temperatures between mid 70s and mid 80s.
We have a new neighbor in front of Central. A hanging nest has carefully been built by one of the beautiful bright yellow and black birds that usually visit Central corridor every morning. On your way to McHenry peak you might see the active little fellow flying in or out of the nest.
We suffered a tough loss in the World Cup today, at the hands of five time winner Brasil. There was a fun group that woke up early and enjoyed the game from the second floor of Limonada. This is an area that is slowly being converted as a nice place to catch the big game.
We had an unbelievably nice day here yesterday. The perfect temperatures continue and the late afternoon/evening rains have turned everything lush and green. It is impossible not to be here right now, and acknowledge the amount of butterflies that have come in to Town. They are everywhere. It is ...
