The first few containers of pavers for Calle Cartagena and Calle Virginia have begun to arrive. There are still 12 more to come! Hopefully we will see four more arriving tomorrow.
The high winds are still blowing strong. The season of these "papagayo" winds is almost over. It is a little change that we notice living here year round. It signals the next part of summer, where the wind stops and the temperatures rise a little bit more.
Chef Carlos and the team at Limonada is putting up nightly dinner specials. Tonight he brought in a sausage made for us at Obando with pork-basil-rosemary. They are putting it together with grilled vegetables, corvina, and shrimp with a chipotle sauce.
The view outside of Casa Teja, 12 Paseo del Mar, gets better when the monkeys are passing by. We are lucky to see these guys often, but I never grow tired of watching them move around.
Congratulations to Maria Jose and our rentals team for a successful trip to Los Angeles. She was there meeting with Travel Providers throughout the area, encouraging their clients visit Las Catalinas.
Exciting to see the next floor of #18 Cartagena going up. This is directly adjacent to the Beach Club, which will serve the plaza and street very well. The team at BCV Architects has done a great job setting this home up. Anxious to see it advance.
This photo is from the master bedroom of #9 Paseo del Mar. The top floor of this unit has a balcony off the front and back of the home. This is one side of the view, the other being the sea.
We are making quick progress on #14 Avenida La Antigua. The top floor unit has a wonderfully framed view of the sea. I do like these views through town, with nature in the distance.
I find that for checking the weather here, the site "Windy" works very well. Just punch in a location and you can see temperature, wind, tides, surf, rain, etc. It is a great tool. About the only thing you will not find is snow...which is why you should be making a trip down to visit soon.
The new real estate listing magazines are ready. Send us a note at Sales@LasCatalinasCR.com if you would like a hard copy sent to your home or office. Las Catalinas is better with friends, may as well encourage a few of them to join you here!
The Daily Blog has been a fun way to find out what is going on in Las Catalinas. We have found another great way is to search "places" on Instagram, putting Las Catalinas as the destination. It is always fun to see what people are doing and how they are enjoying Town.
We got a few new Zip Car options to town today. We loaded this one for beach trips. Some of the surfing beaches around are pretty remote, so this is a great car to grab for two hours for an early morning session. It features off road tires, a rooftop rack and gear box, and portable shower.
It is always exciting to see what the planners and architects have on their concept boards. We are fortunate to have a studio going on right now with Notre Dame. A small group of students, lead by Douglas Duany, are working through concepts for future projects here in Las Catalinas. This studio is ...
The Camino Catalinas building is starting to take form. We have another few weeks to start seeing the exterior be finalized. One of the most exciting things will be to see the town grocery, Copper and Stone, open their doors in April.
Charles posted this picture of Plaza Carlota on our Home Owners page. We are really excited to see the plaza taking shape. Hope you can stop by soon and see the progress!
Big thanks to our Agroforestales team for their work down in the Zapotal Valley. Upwind from our property a small fire broke out. The crew went over and was able to control it, and get it put out. Thank you guys!
