Community Unity: Tempate Rodeo Raises Funds for Local School
One of Las Catalinas’ neighboring communities, Tempate, hosted a rodeo to raise funds for the Dionisio Leal Vallejos School this past weekend. The event was jointly organized by the school and the Tierra Magica community garden.
The festivities welcomed special guests, including graduates of the Dionisio Leal Vallejos School, former and current teachers and administrative staff, senior citizens of the community, and current students.
Lucas Currie, Las Catalinas’ Collective Impact Department Head, road one of Finca La Estancias’ horses, Lucero, in the "tope" or horse parade, and joined in the rodeo festivities to partake in the community's celebration. It was a great community event.
