In a bid to improve Las Catalinas’ infrastructure, the Santa Cruz municipality has announced the temporary closure of Danta Bay. This closure is part of a broader initiative aimed at upgrading town’s main street, in this case with a stormwater pipeline along the street. This will ensure enhanced functionality during all seasons for the new parking spots, sidewalks, crosswalks, and greenery that will be added.
Following the municipality's construction plan for the public street, Danta Bay will be closed from Monday, May 7th, for approximately one and a half to two weeks, contingent upon weather conditions. Despite the inconvenience, this temporary closure is imperative to facilitate essential construction work.
Throughout this period, residents and visitors are encouraged to utilize Central Bay for their commuting needs. The municipality assures prompt communication of any changes in the plan, striving to minimize disruptions to daily life as much as possible.
Las Catalinas and the municipality extend their gratitude to residents for their patience and support during this process as we are laying the foundation for a brighter future for town.
