Las Catalinas is proud to support the Tamarindo International Surf Film Festival happening on March 15th and 16th, conveniently located just a short drive from town. Launched in 2019, this festival courageously captures the excitement and endurance of surfing, delving into the complexities of the human journey through contemporary surfing documentaries. This yearly event honors the vibrant surf culture, artistic creativity, and cinematic brilliance all in support of a noble cause. Throughout the festival, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a diverse selection of short films and feature-length documentaries showcasing the thrilling world of surfing. Every dollar raised during the event directly contributes to CEPIA's sports and psychology programs, making a meaningful impact on the lives of over 2000 children, adolescents, and families in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. CEPIA (Culture, Education, and Psychology for Infants and Adolescents) is dedicated to fostering cultural richness, providing educational and job opportunities, and promoting mental and physical well-being among children, teenagers, and families facing economic challenges in the communities of Guanacaste.
