A Final Shower: Farewell to the Rainy Season in Guanacaste

The weather has changed in town, and Las Catalinas is now enjoying sunny days with refreshing breezes from the coast. It is expected that the last rainfall of the season will occur soon, but some believe we have already had the last shower of the rainy season.

The rainy season in Costa Rica is a magical time for nature enthusiasts, transforming the entire country into a lush paradise adorned with vibrant greenery and a kaleidoscope of colorful flora. This temporal phase also heralds the nesting and hatching of turtles, and the eagerly anticipated commencement of the whale-watching season.

In locales such as Las Catalinas and Guanacaste, the onset of rainfall in April and May is welcomed, acknowledging its indispensable role in sustaining a flourishing ecosystem. Nevertheless, with the advent of sunshine and the promise of December, a plethora of outdoor activities beckons, presenting many opportunities for enjoyment amidst the natural splendor that characterizes the summer season.
