As we journey through late September, Guanacaste’s weather continues to be quite spectacular. This morning we were greeted with brilliant sunshine, followed by a brief afternoon rainstorm lasting around twenty minutes, as the day wrapped up under a cloudy sky. The temperature continues to hover around a comfortable 32 degrees Celsius (90 Fahrenheit), accompanied by gentle breezes—a familiar scene during the green season.

Looking ahead to the weekend, we anticipate some scattered showers, but the mornings promise plenty of sunshine, beckoning you to venture outdoors, whether it is a trip to the beach, a mountain biking or hiking adventure, or just brunch on a patio in town.

Here are a few essential tips to keep in mind as we navigate late September and early October here at Las Catalinas:

  • Sunscreen is Still Essential: Do not be fooled by the cloud cover; the sun's rays remain potent. Make sure to apply sunscreen to protect your skin.
  • Stay Bug-Savvy: If you plan on outdoor activities, consider packing mosquito repellent to keep those pesky insects at bay.
  • Prepare for Weather Shifts: Keep a waterproof bag, a lightweight rain jacket, or even an umbrella handy. Our weather has a knack for changing throughout the day, often regardless of the forecast.
  • Embrace Early Mornings: To make the most of the sunshine, consider planning your outdoor activities for the early hours of the day. It's a fantastic way to seize the day and soak in the natural beauty that surrounds Las Catalinas.

Whether you are relaxing and recharging or exploring the vibrant green season on an outdoor adventure, remember these handy tips, and you are ready to make the most of your journey through Guanacaste’s dynamic green season weather patterns.
