Commemorating Costa Rica’s Independence  

 At Las Catalinas, we will be celebrating Costa Rica's independence with a series of special events. 

Independence Day Torchlight Parade 

The Independence Day Torchlight Parade begins September 14th at 3 PM starting at Plaza Portrero and continuing to Plaza Central for hymn singing at 4 PM, followed by typical food, traditional dances, and vibrant masquerades.  

Independence Day Celebration 

The festivities continue September 15th at 3 PM in Plaza Mercado with folkloric dance, delicious traditional food, and colorful masquerades. Join us to immerse yourself in the celebration and immerse yourself in the rich traditions of Costa Rica. 

Fiesta en La Plaza Celebration 

On September 15th, from 5 PM to 7 PM, Plaza Danta will come alive during the Fiesta en la Plaza. All are invited to join in on the fun with live music and traditional Costa Rican dishes. Tickets are available for purchase through town’s concierge.

Treat yourself to Sentido Norte’s stunning view of Playa Danta and exceptional dining and hospitality.
