In this Daily -- Brilliant Las Catalinas Weather and Shrimp Zarandeados
Some excellent weather today, with a cool morning and a warmer afternoon with some cloud cover, and a moderate shifting breeze. The temperatures will start in the mid 70s around dawn and rise slowly over the course of the morning, reaching the low 80s by lunch and the mid 80s in the heart of the afternoon before falling off slightly for a warm evening. The breeze will be up and down around 8mph throughout the day today, starting from the east, shifting to the north, and then shifting back east as night falls. Out in the cove, the winds shouldn't have much of an effect on the surf, which looks to be relatively consistent between 1-2 feet with a few larger waves sprinkled in between. On the trails, conditions should be excellent for the better part of the morning.
Some great Las Catalinas weather today, with the breeze mild, the temperatures pleasant, and the skies clear and welcoming all throughout the day. It'll be a great day for time spent outside, whether it's on a porch, on the trails, out in the cove, or adventuring beyond town.
At the end of the day Limonada will be hosting their Sunset Happy Hour, leading into a particularly unique special tonight -- Shrimp Chilotes Zarandeados. Zarandeado is an old Mexican dish traditionally made by fire-roasting fresh fish on the beach between two grill grates, but tonight it'll be made with a Las Catalinas twist, featuring fresh local shrimp and chilote corn.
Also, tomorrow morning will feature another edition of town talks with Las Catalinas experts at 9am for the Beach Club, a great way to get some tips for making the most of Las Catalinas.
