The Mystique of the Full Moon

Over Las Catalinas, the Moon reached its fullest splendor at 3:57 AM this morning,  meaning most of town did not see its enchanting peak. Intriguingly, the concept of a Full Moon is fleeting, lasting at its fullest for only an instant in time. Next month, the Moon will unveil its full brilliance over Playa Danta on October 28th at 2:24 PM, leaving us to patiently await until the sun sets for our first glimpse.

The Full Moon occurs when the Sun and the Moon find themselves perfectly aligned on opposite sides of Earth. This celestial rendezvous results in one hundred percent of the moon's face being illuminated by the Sun, creating a breathtaking sight that has captured human imagination for millennia.

Beyond its visual splendor, the Full Moon carries deep symbolism. It is often regarded as the energetic peak of the lunar cycle, signifying a time of closure and inviting us to release, cleanse, and renew. Center of Joy celebrates with a monthly Full Moon Sound Journey, others may choose to participate with their own rituals.

In the realm of our world's wonders, the Full Moon stands as a fleeting masterpiece, reminding us of the ever-changing rhythms of nature.
