In this Daily -- Un Paseo Por Andalucia
A warm and sunny Friday to start the weekend, with temperatures peaking in the mid 80s, a steady breeze picking up around mid morning, and a clear sky. Temperatures will start in the mid 70s around sunrise before rising slowly until about 3pm, peaking in the mid 80s and then dropping off as the evening approaches. The breeze will be light in the morning and pick up around 10am to around 10mph straight out of the east, where it'll stay relatively steady throughout the day until evening. Out in the cove, the offshore winds will keep the surf breaking slow and smooth, with a moderate offshore swell putting the surf between 1 and 2 feet throughout the day. On the trails, the conditions will be ideal between sunrise and mid morning, and starting around 4pm leading to the evening.
Yesterday saw the debut Alma Viajera a brand new series of pop-up restaurants from the mind of Chef Gilberto Briceño. Set to take place regularly around town, Alma Viajera is a chance to explore some of the world's cuisine right from the heart of Las Catalinas, taking inspiration from locations as close as our own backyard and as distant as the kitchens of Paris or the streets of Tokyo.
Last night the theme was Un Paseo Por Andalucia, which focused on Andalusian-style Tapas like the Pulpo a la Gallega featured above. Keep an eye out for news of future pop-ups, as each new iteration of Alma Viajera promises to bring a fresh and interesting addition to town's cuisine. The tables are set, and they just need the last ingredient -- you.
Elsewhere in town today, we saw the Yoga Classes up at Casa Chameleon today at 7:30am and 9am, which saw beautiful warm weather as the day began, and this evening will bring Limonada's Sunset Happy Hour transitioning into a Beach Movie after sunset.
