A December Delight, The Whisper of Christmas Winds

December in Guanacaste offers a warm escape, with temperatures hovering around 30°C (86°F) accompanied by high humidity and breezes wafting in from the ocean. These refreshing gusts, known as "vientos navideños" or Christmas winds, define the season, lending a cooling touch to the surroundings. It is advisable to exercise extra caution during outdoor activities like surfing, paddle boarding, or even when in the forest during trail hiking, as the wind gusts can be particularly strong.

Crowds are gradually increasing in the Guanacaste region, a trend that will continue until the end of the month. As you navigate in and out of the Las Catalinas area, anticipate additional driving time. Moreover, factor in extra time for immigration processes at the airport for a smoother travel experience.
