La Rambla infrastructure continues on the north side of Main Street. These five mixed-use buildings will shape the commercial core of El Prado. Concasa, in collaboration with Las Catalinas, designed this landmark project, and Alfa Co will construct it. We look forward to its completion early next year.

The inaugural residents of El Prado finalize furnishings in their Terraced Flats, offering us a glimpse of the recently completed Beach Town neighborhood. One completed three-bedroom Terraced Flat is currently available for sale. 

The Rufous-naped wren (Campylorhynchus capistratus) nests in a Euphorbia, or cathedral cactus, near Paseo del Mar. Locally called “chochalpia,” this a songbird of the family Troglodytidae. It is a resident breeding species from southwest Mexico to northwestern Costa Rica. 

The Agroforestry Team cares of town’s over 1,000 acres of tropical dry forest, affording us spectacular hills and valleys perfect for hiking and biking. Trained as a skilled fire brigade, they maintain over 80 kilometers of fire breaks and help control fires in Las Catalinas and in neighboring properties since 2009. 

Casandra, a local pup, also known as a “zaguate,” has proudly joined the ranks and accompanies the crew as they work.
