In this Daily -- Happy Mardi Gras!
A bright and sunny day today, with temperatures climbing as we reach this afternoon for a warm March day. An excellent day to be out in the water around the cove, where the water temp should refreshing and the waves should be gentle.
And it's Mardi Gras in Las Catalinas, the perfect occasion to "let the good times roll" and enjoy some celebration with friends and family. All around the world the celebration of the Carnival season is slightly different, with New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro two of the world's most well known parties for the holiday, but all mark "Fat Tuesday", which gives way to Ash Wednesday and the season of Lent leading into Easter, all major observances in Costa Rica.
And for a town known for good times, good company, and good people, it's a particularly fitting occasion.
What better way to celebrate than with tonight's Paseo por Andalucia with Alma Viajera? We talked about the event yesterday, and it'll be one of the best ways in town to enjoy a bit of the festive spirit of the day. Elsewhere in town today there'll also be live music up at Sentido Norte, a Sunset Happy Hour Ponciana and Limonada, and a general air of festivity around town.
Town sees many languages, but here's a little bit of French to start your day from town's local New Orleanians -- Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez!
