In this Daily -- SUP Championships Coming Back to Town!
A little shift in the wind today as we reach the afternoon, with the warm offshore winds replaced by the cool onshore breeze from the ocean. Amazing how the direction the wind blows can be so influential to the temperatures in town. The offshore breeze may also help with a bit of the smoke in town, which has come from a few small forest fires inland that can be unfortunately common this time of year. Luckily, the Agroforestales team continues to diligently patrol our area, with an excellent record of keeping any little blazes under control.
Some big news dropped yesterday -- Las Catalinas has officially been chosen as the final location for the National Costa Rican Stand-Up Paddle circuit, which means that town's Paddle Battle will be the last chance for these ambitious competitors to qualify for international competition to represent Costa Rica.
We were honored to host the finals last year, and we're excited to see that the 9th Annual Paddle Battle will once again mean so much to Costa Rican SUP!
