In this Daily -- Great Conditions for Diving and Snorkeling

Expecting a bright and sunny day today, which would have made it an excellent day to be in the water already, but a combination of water temperatures in the low to mid 80s, very decent visibility, and moderate winds will make a day out among the waves just the ticket.

Moray-Eel-Costa-Rica

And speaking of being out in the waves, we've heard from our friends down at ConnectOcean that the environment has been absolutely prime to be out diving and snorkeling this week. Aside from finned friends like this handsome moray eel spotted by Dive Master Dave Parker, the underwater ecosystems have been particularly lively, the changing of seasons bringing a little spice up to the world beneath the surface. One particular creature to note are the Manta Rays off of the Catalinas Islands, which are reaching a major part of their migratory season through Costa Rica and venturing plentifully past dive sites at Catalinas and the Sombreros.

We're big fans of heading out diving with ConnectOcean especially now that the Mantas are out in full force, and if you're interested in reading about the experience, check out a recent blog we wrote  -- Chasing Angels: A Day Diving.
