Where Work Meets Family: Fora Summer Camp Comes to Town

Over the past month, Town welcomed a different kind of summer camp. Instead of children arriving for a week of adventure, families from across the travel industry made Las Catalinas their home while they worked, explored, and spent time together.

Fora, a modern travel agency known for its family-focused advisors, returned to Las Catalinas for fheir second edition of Summer Camp, a three-week destination coworking experience held from July 13 to 31. The initiative was created to solve a challenge many travel advisors face: discovering new destinations and building relationships with local hospitality partners often means traveling away from their families. Fora Summer Camp reimagines that experience by making it possible to do both.

Throughout the month, different groups of the agency's top advisors have been arriving in Town, each staying for a week with their spouses and children. Rather than staying in hotel rooms, many families rented homes in Las Catalinas, allowing everyone to settle into everyday life while experiencing the destination firsthand. Children could spend their mornings at Elif's Summer Camp enjoying games, outdoor activities and new friendships, while their parents coworked nearby and met with local hotels, businesses and experience providers to deepen their knowledge of the region.

Afternoons and evenings looked very different. Work gave way to family dinners, beach walks and time spent exploring Town together, creating a rhythm that balanced professional growth with meaningful family moments.

Las Catalinas also holds a special place in Fora's story. The company's founder began building the business while living here and had long imagined bringing advisors back to experience the destination. This year's Summer Camp brought that idea to life, giving travel professionals the opportunity to discover not only Las Catalinas but also neighboring hotels and experiences throughout the region, all while using Town as their home base.

For the families who have joined, the experience has become much more than a work trip. It is an opportunity to experience a different way of traveling, where professional development, community and family life naturally come together, showing that meaningful work doesn't have to come at the expense of meaningful time with family.
