Getting involved with Collective Impact in Tempate
Recently, Las Catalinas collaborated with volunteers from the community, Costa Rica Retreats, and students from Tempate's Dionisio Leal Elementary School to donate and paint tables. This initiative enhances the aesthetics of the area but also fosters a sense of community pride and engagement. Tempate is a beautiful, traditional Guanacastecan town rich in culture, located twenty-five minutes from Las Catalinas. The Collective Impact Program bolsters local organizations committed to regenerative agriculture, sustainable tourism, and climate resistance. Regular volunteer trips organized by Finca la Estancia and Collective Impact help amplify town’s communal spirit. These outings give visitors a meaningful opportunity to connect with the land by clearing plant beds, planting crops, and harvesting produce, or with community projects, in turn, giving more support to Tempate.
