### Green Beginnings: Welcoming New Team Members with Trees

As of April, as part of a new [Las Catalinas](https://www.lascatalinascr.com/)’ staff onboarding process, all new team members will have the opportunity to plant a tree in town’s farm, [Finca La Estancia](https://www.lascatalinascr.com/shopping-and-dining/finca-la-estancia). The primary goal of this new activity is to promote the smooth integration of new members into the team, ensuring they feel welcome while also providing them with a distinctive experience.

Planting a tree upon joining Las Catalinas' team fosters a sense of environmental stewardship and community engagement among staff members. It also leaves a lasting impact on the local ecosystem, contributing to town's sustainability efforts, and one of our core values: consciousness – We care about nature and work hard to protect and enhance it.

This is a great way for new team members to embrace the opportunity to plant roots and flourish alongside our community.
