The People Behind Town: Celebrating 10, 15, 16 and 17 Years at Las Catalinas

On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 28, a group of Las Catalinas team members gathered at La Estancia to celebrate milestones that took a decade or more to reach. The People, Culture and Talent team organized the afternoon to honor colleagues who have now been part of Town for 10, 15, 16 and 17 years.

It unfolded the way the best gatherings here tend to, with good conversation and plenty of laughter. Directors from every department joined in, pizza and drinks made the rounds, and Canela, the La Estancia dog who has won over just about everyone she meets, made sure no one went without a little attention.

The team spent the afternoon together with the directors of each department and members of our leadership team, sharing pizza and drinks and even some time with Canela, the La Estancia dog we have all come to love.

As the afternoon went on, the conversation turned into storytelling. One memory led to the next: how Las Catalinas came to be, what it was like when some of them first started, how they ended up working here, the hard days they pushed through, and the sweet moments that belong to a less visible side of Town's history.

Listening to them, it became clear that the story of Las Catalinas lives as much in its people as it does in its architecture. Beyond the plazas and pathways, Town is held together by years of work that often happens out of sight: the hands that helped build it, the teams that care for it every day, and the memories that make it feel like home. Many of the people in this story are ones we may not see on a typical walk through Town, yet their work is a big part of the reason there is a Town to walk through at all.

Before the afternoon came to a close, each honoree received a recognition as a token of gratitude for their commitment over the years.

Today, in this edition of The Daily, we pause to honor and thank these 15 team members who have become part of our history. This space is dedicated to them and to everything they have given Las Catalinas along the way.
