If you have not been in Town this past week, or if you have not walked through Plaza Rambla recently, you may have missed the arrival of a new resident. And no, we are not talking about a neighbor.
We are talking about the fountain.
Now installed at the center of the plaza, the circular fountain has quickly become one of those details that changes the feeling of a place. The steady sound of water brings a calm presence to the space, inviting anyone passing by to sit along the edge, take a short break, or simply enjoy a slower moment in the middle of the day.
The fountain was one of the main ornamental elements planned for Plaza Rambla, and its installation marks one of the final touches in the design of this space. As the visual center of the plaza, it helps anchor the open area, with trees beginning to frame and extend outward across the esplanade.
Because Plaza Rambla sits just behind Buildings 70, 71, and 53, where many families and young children now live, the space is already beginning to feel more and more like part of daily life. Little by little, residents and visitors are making it their own, using it as a place to gather, play, rest, and enjoy this newer side of Town.
It is exciting to see Plaza Rambla come to life in this way. As El Prado continues to grow, and as nearby projects such as Lantana and MontaƱa continue to take shape, this plaza will become even more present in the everyday experience of Town. With more shade from the growing trees, more neighbors nearby, and more daily moments unfolding around it, Plaza Rambla is beginning to show the role it will play in the life of this side of Town.
