In this Daily -- Morning Mountain Biking and A Great Sunset
A breezy and sunny day today, with temperatures in the mid 80s and a steady wind from the east throughout the day and a clear sky from 10am until nighttime. Temperatures will start in the high 70s around sunrise with a few scattered clouds before rising quickly, hitting the mid/high 80s around lunchtime and remaining steady until about 4pm, where they'll fall off. The wind will be steady throughout the day, starting around 8mph, before peaking a little over 15mph in the late afternoon, leaving us with fresh, flowing air as sunset approaches. Out in the cove, the steady offshore wind will keep the waves breaking smoothly and steadily throughout the day, with the surf hanging between 1 and 2 feet with a few larger waves and a high tide at 11am. On the trails, this morning was perfect for a ride, with mellow temperatures and a cool breeze, and this evening around sunset and beyond will be excellent to be out on the trails.
There was an excellent mountain biking tour today at 7am, taking advantage of the prime conditions just after sunrise to hit the trails around town. Ask any seasoned rider around town when the best times to be on the trails are and they'll tell you early morning or late in the evening are the best times to be out and around, when the temperatures are cool, the sky is not too dark but not too bright, and the world is just a little bit more still and peaceful, with the trails ripe to be ridden. It's part of this reason that on some days, if you look up to the trails a little after sunset you just might catch a glimpse of some flashing lights zipping through the trees.
Elsewhere around town, today Casa Chameleon will be hosting their Sunset Beats up at their pool from 3-6, and Limonada will have their usual Sunset Happy Hour from 4-6pm, leading into the special for tonight, which will be a Seared Tuna Steak with Risotto.
For early risers, tomorrow morning will see excellent conditions for Friday Fitness, with a pair of Yoga Classes at 7:30 am and at 9, both hosted up at Casa Chameleon
