In this Daily -- Prehispanic Dinner and the Tope de Liberia
A warm and sunny day today with a light breeze, a perfect day to be out on the water, especially in the morning or in the evening. And with waves relatively light, a trip out onto the waves on a paddle board could be just the ticket.
And coming up this weekend is the Tope de Liberia! A once a year event that takes place in Liberia, the Tope is a night-long festival taking place this Saturday the 2nd, featuring a parade with cowboys and horses (and the occasional bull) to build up to the Rodeos the next day. It's a rowdy event that takes over Liberia for the evening, and the concierge team has whipped up one of the best possible ways to experience it. Provided transportation will depart mid afternoon on Saturday, arriving in the evening as the Tope parade really hits its stride. From there, you'll have a table at one of the best restaurants in town, Toro Negro, with a perfect view of the parade and a complementary cocktail and food budget to get you started.
It's one of the best ways to enjoy this lively old cultural tradition, and should be an excellent way to spend the evening. Limited seats available, and to book reach out to concierge. Recommended for adults.
Elsewhere in town, last night saw Alma Viajera's Prehispanic Dinner, a trip back in time to almost 700 years ago and a great example that food and style may change, but some dishes are timeless. Keep an eye out for next week's edition, where we return to Andalusia for "Un Paseo Por Andalucia".
