As the school year approaches in Costa Rica, many children in nearby coastal communities are preparing to return to class without the basic supplies they need. It’s a reality that can shape the entire school experience, but it’s also one we can help change.
To support this effort, CEPIA and Auto Mercado have joined forces to launch a donation campaign focused on children in Tamarindo and El Coco. The campaign began on January 31 and will run through March 1.
Donations can be made directly at checkout at Auto Mercado stores in Tamarindo and El Coco. Contributions will be used by CEPIA to provide school supplies and backpacks for children living in vulnerable conditions, as well as to support after school programs that offer academic support, sports, and creative activities.
These initiatives help ensure that children not only arrive at school prepared, but also have access to safe spaces where learning, confidence, and personal growth continue beyond the classroom.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps children begin the school year with dignity, opportunity, and hope.
