Start Spreadin’ the News: Sharing Las Catalinas in New York

This past week, Renae Johnson, Las Catalinas Sales & Marketing Director, visited the New York offices of our PR firm as part of ongoing efforts to share the story of Las Catalinas with more people, opening the door for new visitors, future residents, and curious travelers to experience the rhythm of life in Town for themselves.

During the visit, the team met with journalists, writers, editors, and publishers connected to more than eight publications to speak about Las Catalinas and the many people and businesses that help bring Town to life. These conversations included Las Catalinas Doorway, Santarena Hotel, Casa Chameleon, and our Commercial Partners in Town, creating an opportunity to present Las Catalinas not only as a destination, but as a living, growing community shaped by hospitality, wellness, architecture, nature, and connection.

Among the media outlets represented in these meetings were Travel + Leisure, Modern Luxury, Smart Luxury, Fodor’s Travel, The Points Guy, The Street, Afar, and Uncover More. Throughout the week, the people they met showed genuine interest in learning more about Town and expressed interest in visiting Las Catalinas to experience our home firsthand.

These meetings are part of the continued work of the Sales & Marketing Department to position Las Catalinas on a global stage and keep Town present in the broader conversation around travel, lifestyle, and intentional living.  These efforts are already bearing fruit. So far this year, Las Catalinas, Santarena Hotel, Casa Chamaleon and our Commercial Partners have been featured in several articles and media outlets, including BBC Travel, Travel+Leisure, Today Show, Condé Nast, ELLE, and Parade.

Each article, mention, and conversation becomes another way for people beyond Costa Rica to begin imagining what life here feels like: walking through Town in the morning, hearing the ocean from the plaza, meeting friends after a swim, discovering local businesses, and experiencing a place where nature, architecture, and daily life are closely connected.

As these stories continue to travel, we invite you to keep an eye on the “In the News” section of the Las Catalinas website for future articles and features about living the good life here in Las Catalinas.
