Plaza Rambla Welcomes Its Trees

This week brought an exciting milestone at La Rambla, as Plaza Rambla, located just behind buildings 71, 70 and 53, now has its trees planted.

Most of the newly planted trees are Almendros, a species commonly planted in coastal areas. Beyond their ecological value, which includes attracting and providing food for butterflies, hummingbirds and birds, these trees will offer generous shade, making the plaza far more enjoyable, especially under Guanacaste’s climate.

In a previous Daily, we shared more about the presence of Almendros throughout Town and their important contribution to the ecosystem. You can read about it here.

Two Corteza Amarillo trees were also planted in the two larger planters, one in front of building 70 and another in front of building 71. As they continue to grow, they will offer wide canopies with abundant shade. During flowering season, they will also bring beautiful yellow blooms that will add color to the plaza. Copeys were also planted along the plaza, adding an additional layer of color at a lower height that complements the trees.

We are excited to see La Rambla coming together and to watch how these trees, now in place, continue to bring life and character to this space, ready to welcome everyone.
