Following the recent visit from students of Colegio de Corralillo de Nicoya, Las Catalinas welcomed another group of young students on October 5, this time from schools in Cartagena, Carrillo, and Santa Cruz. However, their time in Town will extend well beyond a single visit, as they begin a two-month professional internship alongside our teams.
Over the coming weeks, these students will have the opportunity to experience the day-to-day operations of Las Catalinas firsthand, putting their classroom knowledge into practice while developing new skills and gaining a better understanding of their chosen professional fields.
They will be joining several departments across Town, including Finance, IT, La Estancia, Housemanager, Santarena, and Celeste, each offering a different perspective on the people, responsibilities, and teamwork involved in keeping Las Catalinas running every day.
Beyond the opportunity to gain professional experience, these next two months will also be about meeting new people, asking questions, exchanging ideas, and learning from those who know their work best. We are especially grateful to the leaders and team members who have welcomed these students into their departments and will be sharing their time, knowledge, and experience along the way. Their willingness to share their knowledge, experience, and time is an important part of making this opportunity truly meaningful.
We are delighted to welcome these young professionals to Las Catalinas and to play a small part in their journey as they take some of their first steps into the working world. We wish them a wonderful two months of learning, new experiences, and opportunities ahead!
