In this Daily: A Look Ahead at July
A lot to look forward to in July, a month headlined by el 25 de Julio- Día de la Anexión. The holiday, which celebrates the Annexation of the Nicoya Party in 1824, will be accompanied by celebration all around town including a three part event at Limonada focusing on Guanacaste favorites prepared with tender love and care to taste like home.
Other headliners include a 4th of July edition of the Barrio Barbecue, 5 excellent editions of Alma Viajera Pop-Up dinners, and the return of The Costa Rican Cocktail session.
The first week of July brings us A Tour Around South America, a Pop-Up Dinner at the Beach Club, to kick us off on Tuesday. Thursday’s 4th of July Barrio Barbecue headlines Week 1, a classic US Independence celebration with burgers, pulled pork, wings, and a host of iconic sides.
Each week of this month is wrapped up by a pair of town favorites: Sunset G&Ts at Santarena on Saturday, and Santarena Brunch on Sunday. There is one special exception: the Bastille Day Brunch on Sunday the 14th, which will celebrate French independence with a meal dedicated to one of the world’s most rich culinary cultures.
The rest of the month brings us Tokyo Street Food, Julia’s Paris, Native Terroir, and Cuba Libre presented by Alma Viajera, each on Tuesday at 6pm in the Beach Club. Always a wonderful opportunity to taste an international blend of flavors each week.
Two more special events highlight this month’s calendar in addition to the usual selection of HIIT, Travel Talks, and Swimming Lessons at the Beach Club. On Wednesday the 17th, we’ll see the return of The Costa Rican Cocktail, a cooking session focusing on the unique twists and dashes possible in Costa Rica. And finally, to wrap up the month, Limonada will be hosting the Día de la Anexíon celebration for dinner on Thursday the 25th and Friday the 26th, as well as for lunch on Saturday the 27th.
Looking forward to a great month.
