In this Daily -- Citizen Science, Coffee Experts, and Kite Building.
Another sunny weekend day this morning, with temperatures around 80 degrees right around sunrise, rising to the mid 80s around midday, and tapering off slowly to the low 80s in late afternoon. It'll be an excellent day to start on the trails and then hit the water, with the breeze keeping the trails pleasant until mid morning, when they'll liven up the surf for a trip to the waves. Around noon, the wind will die down for an still afternoon perfect for reading a book or enjoying a patch of shade, and the clouds should be clear for sunset.
Lots going on in town today, on land, at sea, and in the air. At the Beach Club, coffee lovers are participating in a combination tasting and seminar as they learn about the many aspects of coffee growing and roasting in Costa Rica, one of the world's capitals for the bean. Out on the ocean, ConnectOcean will be inviting the entire community to take place in Citizen Science Sunday, where they'll be measuring sharks with Laser Photogrammetry, and deploying Baited Remote Underwater Viewing Systems (BRUVS) to track our local aquatic wildlife. And finally, in the air, both kids and adults are enjoying a kite making class in Limonada, perfect for the upcoming windy season.
