Warm weather today with a spike in temperature right around noon, rising from the low 80s to around 85 for noon and then dropping sharply over the afternoon back to around 81. A healthy breeze today as well coming straight from the east over the hills into town, which should help mellow out the heat as well as the surf, which will should be calm today, well under 2ft. A rising tide throughout the morning with a high tide mid afternoon, and a day well suited to be outdoors, especially in the early morning or around sunset. ![](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/IMG_6659-e1544225083451-450x600-3.jpg?width=374&height=499&name=IMG_6659-e1544225083451-450x600-3.jpg) Virginia Harper and Morgan Jones's three day seminar on macrobiotics came to a close yesterday with their Limonada luncheon, as the team worked alongside Las Catalinas Head Chef Gilberto Briceño and Sous Chef Kirsia Marchena to turn out 4 delicious courses served on the beach by Limonada. Alongside the food was a Q&A about tips to move forward learning from macrobiotic principles, some suggestions for cooking a macrobiotic meal, and good company all around. ![Image result for atlanta vs portland](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/MLSCup_Match-Preview_1280x553-4.jpg?width=694&height=300&name=MLSCup_Match-Preview_1280x553-4.jpg) Also in Limonada, a big game on tonight in the form of Atlanta United FC vs the Portland Timbers for the MLS Championship. Playing in only their second season, ATL looks to make a statement with their excellent attack lead by record-breaking Josef Martinez, while the scrappy Timbers, lead by last year's MVP Diego Valeri, look to spoil the party. It's a clash between two of the most rabid fanbases in American soccer, and it should be an excellent game -- showing tonight at 7pm.   ## See related posts ## [Sunday, August 11th, 2019.](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-august-11th-2019) [In this Daily: Día de la Madre (Costa Rican Mother’s Day) and the Week Ahead](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-august-11th-2019) [Read more](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-august-11th-2019) ## [Monday, November 18th, 2019.](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-november-18th-2019) [In this Daily: The Pura Vida Ride Paddle Battle and the Intrepid Challenge](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-november-18th-2019) [Read more](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-november-18th-2019) ## [Wednesday, August 28th, 2019.](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-august-28th-2019) [In this Daily: A Look at the National Parks of Costa Rica](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-august-28th-2019) [Read more](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-august-28th-2019) ## [Monday, September 23rd, 2019.](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-september-23rd-2019) [In this Daily: The Monkeys of Guanacaste](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-september-23rd-2019) [Read more](https://thedaily.lascatalinascr.com/daily-september-23rd-2019) #### Subscribe to The Blog, The Daily, The Newsletter, and more Additionally you will receive our occasional newsletter.
