We are excited to announce our new Huerta, a sustainable garden space that showcases our commitment to eco-friendly practices and community well-being. Nestled next to the compost area in Campamento, this garden is a testament to creativity and resourcefulness, as it has been constructed using recycled materials from various projects around Town.
Our garden beds are filled with rich compost produced right here in Campamento, ensuring that our plants are nourished with the best organic matter. We have planted a variety of organic crops that promise to bring fresh, nutritious produce to our community.
This project wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and hard work of student interns from Stanford and UC Berkeley and the La Estancia staff. Their expertise and enthusiasm were instrumental in setting up an efficient irrigation system, which will help us maintain the garden with minimal water waste.
In no time, we will have a bounty of organic produce available for Town’s residents, guests, and local restaurants.
