Back in mid December, Latin pop and reggaeton duo Mau & Ricky visited Costa Rica to record the music video for their upcoming song Te Quiero. While they shared glimpses of their time in Guanacaste on social media, part of the recording quietly took place in Las Catalinas.
The Venezuelan artists, formed by brothers Mauricio Alberto Mau Reglero Rodríguez and Ricardo Andrés Ricky Reglero Rodríguez, sons of renowned singer Ricardo Montaner, shared on Instagram that they were in the country for the production.
Following their announcement, fans spotted the duo in different parts of Guanacaste, including Flamingo, where several photos quickly began circulating. What many did not know at the time is that part of the video was also filmed in a private home in Beach Town, adding Las Catalinas to the list of locations featured in the project.
The recording took place in the morning. After wrapping up, Mau & Ricky stopped by Pots and Bowls for a relaxed meal, where they were warmly welcomed. Even the restaurant’s owner had the chance to take a photo with them.
Before leaving Beach Town later that morning, the artists caught the attention of a few people who recognized them and kindly took photos with fans.

Costa Rica and Guanacaste continue to captivate artists from around the world with their natural beauty, light, and distinctive landscapes. Las Catalinas, with its unmistakable charm and character, became the perfect setting and backdrop for this new music video, set to be released soon.
