Significant strides in the earth-moving phase of construction are being made to ensure a solid foundation for our future residents. This critical stage involves careful removal of soil from the highest areas of the lot, down to the lowest points. This process is crucial to prevent potential landslides and maintain the stability of the site.
To give you an idea of the scale of this work, we've completed over 60 trips using wagons, each carrying 20 cubic meters of earth. For perspective, each wagon is approximately the weight of four elephants! The soil removed primarily comes from the footprints of buildings E, F, and G, and this meticulous work is vital for setting the stage for the next phases of construction.
A key aspect of this stage is the rectification of building levels. This process, conducted in collaboration with our infrastructure, surveying, and architecture teams, ensures that each building aligns perfectly with the sidewalks and surrounding infrastructure. Accurate leveling is essential for the long-term stability and functionality of the buildings.
Once the rectification is complete, the site is marked with lime to indicate where the retention walls will be located. This step is crucial in preparing the site for the construction of these vital structures, which will provide additional support and stability to the buildings.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build the future of town.
