June’s Coffee Time Special at Center of Joy

Throughout June, Center of Joy is bringing a little Costa Rican soda tradition to coffee time with a special menu item: enyucados de carne.

Enyucados are a typical local snack made with mashed yuca dough and filled with seasoned shredded beef. They are often found in local sodas, making them one of those familiar Costa Rican bites that visitors do not always get the chance to try during a regular trip.

At Nature's Table, Center of Joy's restaurant, the enyucado is prepared with its own touch. The yuca dough is filled with carne arreglada, coated in panko, and fried until golden and crisp on the outside, while staying soft and savory inside. It is the kind of snack that is simple, comforting, and deeply local, especially when enjoyed during the afternoon coffee hour.

Although it was created as a coffee time treat, enyucados are available every day from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm throughout the month of June.

For guests, residents, and anyone passing through Town, this is a sweet little invitation to try something that belongs to the local flavors of Costa Rica. A warm bite, a cup of coffee, and a small taste of what makes this place feel even more like home.
