Previously, we shared how this XTERRA will feature a sustainability component that excites us greatly. But today, we want to share how you can join this amazing initiative!
This coming Saturday, during the second day of XTERRA, we'll be planting 150 trees as part of an initiative by Las Catalinas, XTERRA, and Coopenae. The tree planting will take place at the Nursery from 1 pm to 3 pm. This is a free event open to the public, even if you’re not participating in XTERRA. We’ll provide everything you need to plant your own tree.

This effort aims to offset the event’s carbon footprint. Planting these trees is projected to generate a carbon sequestration capacity of 3,000 to 4,000 cubic tons over time, helping to compensate for the event’s emissions. All of the trees will be native, so they will strengthen existing ecosystem dynamics and contribute to the regeneration of the Pan de Azúcar watershed.
To register, you just have to click the link below, and you'll be ready to participate.
Bring your friends and family along! You’ll have fun for a few hours, but the benefits for the ecosystem will last for decades to come.
