Earlier this week we shared the  news about the inauguration of the new soccer field at Central Park. On Thursday afternoon, the long awaited match began right on schedule, drawing players and spectators from all around Town.

Here is a little recap of the day, in case you missed it.

More than 40 people signed up to play, forming teams that brought together neighbors, coworkers, and friends. Even more gathered around the field to cheer them on, turning the event into a vibrant celebration of community and friendly competition.

Pura Vida Ride, Farmacia Bohemia, and Pots and Bowls were there with snacks and drinks, offering everything from banana bread, chicken and chicharrón gallos to margaritas and refreshing electrolytes.

Florem hosted the event, and PCT supported with sandwiches and water for the players, keeping everyone fueled under the afternoon sun.

Music played in the background, conversations flowed, and laughter echoed from the sidelines. Some stayed for the whole match, others stopped by between work and errands, but everyone added something to the atmosphere.

The new field already feels like a gathering place, and Thursday’s match set a great tone for everything that is still to come.
