From the Classroom to Las Catalinas: A Peek Behind the Scenes at Santarena

On October 1, Las Catalinas had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students from Colegio de Corralillo de Nicoya, who are currently pursuing a specialization in tourism, for an educational visit in Town.

The students came with a particular interest in learning how Las Catalinas operates as a Town and, more specifically, how Hotel Santarena manages its day-to-day operations. During their visit, they were introduced to the different departments that make up the hotel, learning about their responsibilities and how they work together to create a welcoming experience for guests.

Following the introduction, the students enjoyed a guided tour of both the hotel and Town, giving them the opportunity to see firsthand many of the spaces, processes, and operations they had just learned about, and to connect their classroom knowledge with real-world experience.

This is one of several student visits we have welcomed throughout the year, and each one represents a valuable opportunity to share our knowledge and experience with young people preparing to enter the tourism industry.

We are always happy to open our doors to the next generation of tourism professionals, offering them a closer look at the people, places, and teamwork that make daily life and hospitality in Las Catalinas possible.
