From Plaza Agave to Plaza Volleyball: A Wedding Night in Town

On Saturday evening, Plaza Volleyball, the open plaza in front of Playa Danta, transformed into the setting for a beautiful wedding celebration.

Katie and Josh, a couple from the United States, chose Las Catalinas for their special day. The bride’s parents own a residency in Town, which made the celebration feel even more meaningful. There is something deeply moving about seeing a place that already holds family memories become the backdrop for a new chapter.

The ceremony and reception welcomed 97 guests. The ceremony was held at Plaza Agave.

Later in the evening, dinner and the celebration took place at Plaza Volleyball, where a canopy was set above the plaza. As night fell, soft string lights illuminated the space, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere accompanied by the sound of the nearby ocean. Plaza Volleyball, usually a place for gathering, sports, and sunset walks, became for one evening a dance floor filled with laughter, toasts, and embraces.

The Weddings and Events team at Las Catalinas Doorway served as the central point of coordination between the couple and their suppliers, ensuring that every detail came together smoothly and seamlessly. From logistics to timing, their role allowed the family and guests to focus fully on celebrating.

We are always grateful when families choose to mark life’s most important moments in Town. Being part of a wedding is more than hosting an event. It is witnessing the extension of a family, the blending of stories, and the beginning of something new.

It was a truly special night, and we feel honored that Las Catalinas could be part of the first pages of Katie and Josh’s story together.
