From June 26th to 28th, 2026, Las Catalinas will welcome Convivio RTA, powered by Pura Vida Tennis and presented alongside Las Catalinas Doorway. For three days, the courts will become a gathering point for players, guests, and tennis fans, bringing a new kind of weekend energy to Town through competition, community, and play by the coast.
This will be the first major tennis tournament of its kind in Las Catalinas, with nearly 40 players already signed up. Matches are expected to take place throughout the day during the weekend, creating plenty of opportunities for guests and residents to stop by, cheer from the sidelines, and enjoy the atmosphere around the courts. A detailed match schedule will be prepared and shared directly with participating players.
The tournament will follow a round robin format followed by finals, giving players the chance to compete across several matches before the final rounds. Categories include Men’s A, B, and C, as well as Women’s B and C. At the moment, there is no Women’s A category, simply because there are not enough registered players in that level to form the group.
The entry fee is now $75 per player, which includes new balls for every match, hydration, trophies for finalists, raffles, and prizes.
To reserve a spot in the tournament, participants can contact Rolo Rojas at (+506) 8392-0362 or Alex & Steff at (+506) 8755-1999. For those who do not live in Town but would like to visit Las Catalinas and be part of the tournament weekend, Las Catalinas Doorway and Santarena Hotel have prepared special accommodation rates. Guests can contact reservations directly and mention they are coming for Convivio RTA so the team can help apply the special event rate.
More than a tournament, Convivio RTA is shaping up to be a full three-day experience, one where players can compete, friends and families can gather, and the community can come together around the energy of the matches. Whether joining as a player, a guest, or a tennis fan, it will be an exciting way to spend the weekend in Las Catalinas.
