Estudio Rambar to Open a New Contemporary Art Gallery in Central

We are pleased to share that a new contemporary art gallery, Estudio Rambar, will be opening soon in Central, in the space formerly occupied by Wake.

The gallery will present a rotating selection of works that naturally dialogue with coastal architecture, tropical landscapes, and life in the tropics. Multiple artists will be featured at all times, creating a diverse and carefully curated program that will evolve throughout the year.

Estudio Rambar is based in Costa Rica and is led by visual artist and architect Ale Rambar, whose trajectory in the art world spans many years. Prior to this project, he directed a gallery in San José, and his work has been exhibited in recognized institutional and cultural spaces, including national and international collaborations with the European Union. This sustained commitment to Costa Rican art has earned him recognition as an arts ambassador by Essential Costa Rica, a designation that highlights individuals who represent the country’s cultural values, creativity, and excellence at an international level.

Bringing a contemporary art gallery to Las Catalinas is part of a shared intention to expand cultural life in Town and to encourage spaces where art, conversation, and community can naturally meet. As part of the agreement between both parties, a percentage of gallery sales will be donated to foundations in the surrounding area, reinforcing a commitment to ensuring that art also contributes positively to the local community.
