We are very excited to share that Estudio Rambar Art Gallery is now open in Plaza Central, inviting visitors to discover its first exhibitions in Town. The gallery opened its doors on March 12 and welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, with visits also available by appointment.

The artworks currently displayed draw inspiration from the landscapes and ecosystems that define Costa Rica. Many of the pieces reflect the lush rainforest, the surrounding ocean, and the atmosphere of life near the beach. Together, they create a visual dialogue with the tropical environment that surrounds Las Catalinas. The exhibition brings together painting, photography, ceramics, and sculpture by established artists working across Costa Rica. As visitors move through the gallery, they will encounter different areas of the space presenting distinct artistic styles and perspectives, all connected by a shared exploration of nature, color, and tropical imagery.

“This exhibition brings together artists whose work reflects the biodiversity, color, and energy of Costa Rica’s tropical environment,” says Ale Rambar, founder and curator of Estudio Rambar. “Each piece offers a different interpretation of the landscapes and ecosystems that shape life along our country.”

Among the works on view is Atomic Flower (2025), an oil painting by Philipp Anaskin. Known for his expressive compositions and refined technique, Anaskin has built an internationally recognized career with exhibitions in Europe and the Americas and was awarded Costa Rica’s National Visual Arts Prize.

Also featured is Green Macaw (2026), an acrylic painting by Javier Rosell. Rosell’s career includes numerous exhibitions and international art fairs throughout Latin America and Europe. His work explores hyper realism with contemporary themes, and in this piece the vibrant presence and detail of the macaw reflects the biodiversity that defines the Costa Rican landscape.

Pink Sea Urchin Dream (2026), a ceramic sculpture by Mariana Jiménez Zúñiga, is also featured inside the space. Working with high-fire glazed ceramics, Jiménez draws inspiration from marine life and coastal ecosystems, creating sculptural works that feel both playful and organic.

Estudio Rambar represents more than 100 artists actively producing work locally in Costa Rica and focuses on bringing contemporary artistic practice to the coastal region of Guanacaste. The gallery’s program highlights artists with strong trajectories while creating a space where visitors can encounter a wide range of artistic voices inspired by the natural richness of the tropics.
