In this Daily -- Andes to Table with Alma Viajera, and the Super Wolf Blood Moon

A warm and breezy day today, with some scattered clouds throughout, and highs in the mid 80s. The temperatures will start in the high 70s after sunrise today and remain relatively steady during the morning, before picking up to the mid 80s around lunch time and staying there for the rest of the afternoon until about 5pm. The breeze will start a little under 10mph for the better part of the morning today before picking up in the afternoon to around 15mph until sunset, with some scattered clouds throughout the day offering a bit of shade on and off. Out in the cove, the waves will be moderate, between 1-2 feet with some larger waves on occasion, and will be breaking slow thanks to the steady offshore wind. On the trails, the cloudy conditions and cooler weather for the better part of the morning will be ideal for a hike or bike ride.

If you happened to be out last night, you may have caught a glimpse of a celestial event referred to some as the "Super Blood Wolf Moon". Quite a few adjectives, which translate to the fact that the alignment of the moon, the sun, and the earth were such that last night's full moon (referred to as a Wolf Moon, for being the first full moon of the year) was much larger than usual (a Super Moon), and also coincided with a lunar eclipse, or Blood Moon. And for viewers, a massive, full, red moon marked the night sky from late afternoon until the deep hours of the night. An interesting cosmic coincidence to be sure.

And it brings with it a full week of interesting activities! Coming at the end of the week we have Guanacaste Nights, a two night culinary event welcoming chefs from around the world as they celebrate the culinary traditions of the region. It's an exciting event, and there are still a few available spots for those interested.

A lively day today as well, with our usual HIIT at the Yoga Pavilion at 7am, Happy Hour at the Beach Club this evening from 5:30 to 6:30, and the headline event for this evening -- another edition of Alma Viajera.

Tonight's edition of Alma Viajera is inspired by the culinary traditions and ingredients of the Andes, bringing a light, fresh, and flavorful culinary experience to town. A great fit for the time of year and the climate, so if you're interested in enjoying an Andes-to-Table experience make sure to call concierge RSVP for tonight at 6pm.

For early risers tomorrow morning, Casa Chameleon will be hosting an 8:15am Functional Fitness class up on the top of the hill. Forecast is for good weather tomorrow morning too, so it should be an enjoyable way to start the day.
