In this Daily -- Bike Rides, Blogs, Podcasts, and Dinner

A warm and sunny day leading to a slightly cooler afternoon this weekend, thanks to an onshore breeze bringing some cooler air off of the water. Excellent conditions for an evening bike ride as the sun sets, especially with visibility at its peak and the sunsets particularly brilliant at this time of year.

Some gorgeous photos of last night's sunset for the Daily today, courtesy of longtime Catalinas resident Krista Baker and friends at RaceQuest on an evening bike ride.

To hear the pros tell it, Las Catalinas is just about the perfect place to train for triathlons, which we covered when RaceQuest and Jessica Jacobs were here around Triathlon season, and looking at some of these photos it's hard not to agree. We actually sat down and talked with another member of the RaceQuest team, Coach Chip Beard, about his experience as a triathlon coach both in town and elsewhere, and you can read the article here.

Keep an eye out in town tonight for Tokyo Street Food, an event at the Beach Club at 6pm, and be make sure to save room tomorrow as well for the Barrio Barbecue, taking place tomorrow evening on Playa Danta. You can sign up for both at Concierge or via the Las Catalinas app, or for the Barrio Barbecue here.

Also, make sure to check out the brand new Las Catalinas podcast, LC Radio, which is now available on Spotify!
