In this Daily: A Beginner’s Guide to HIIT

Tomorrow morning brings another edition of HIIT Training in the Yoga Pavilion. It's a great way to start the day with some fresh-air, high-energy training! Intimidated? Don't be!

For those unfamiliar, HIIT has enjoyed worldwide popularity in recent years. However, it can still be intimidating to those who don’t know much about it. Thankfully, we make it simple here!

Understanding High-Intensity Interval Training: Beginner’s Guide to HIIT

HIIT stands for "High-Intensity Interval Training" which just about captures the essence of this training method. High-Intensity exercise performed at intervals, with moments of rest or recovery movements in between.

It’s because of this simplicity that HIIT training can be scaled and accessible to anyone, regardless of your fitness level. As long as you’re pushing to your personal limits during the high-intensity portions, you can reap the benefits of these workouts.

Las Catalinas HIIT: Fresh Air in the Yoga Pavilion

For the beginner in HIIT, the morning sessions in the Yoga Pavilion are a great way to start. Don’t worry if you aren't used to complicated movements or intricate lifts. During Las Catalinas HIIT sessions, there are no barbells or dumbells involved. In fact, most workouts rely on bodyweight.

In addition, workouts are scalable and adaptable to your ability. Nursing an injury and can’t do push ups? There’s always a way to work different parts of your body and stay healthy.

Fitness In Paradise

Anyone can join a gym or take a fitness class. However, the Yoga Pavilion at Las Catlinas is second to none. Gyms are great. However, throw in a lively atmosphere with music, friendly faces, and the surf crashing about 50 yards offshore, and you’ve got a great space to enjoy a workout and stay healthy.

It's just one of the many mind and body benefits that Las Catalinas has to offer.
