In this Daily: XPT in Town
A lot to look forward to this week, with one event standing out in particular. XPT’s Waterman experience. Laird Hamilton, Gabby Reece, and the XPT Training team will be turning the Santarena Hotel into an extreme performance paradise, hosting an intensive course in their Breathe, Recover, and Move curriculum. If that wasn't enough, for the first time attendees will have a chance to surf with Laird Hamilton.
Events like XPT, the Las Catalinas TRI, Racequest camps, and the Pitahayas Challenge are great reminders that even though Las Catalinas is a great place to relax and enjoy a vacation, it’s also a natural landscape capable of pushing world class athletes to their limit.
You can learn more about the three day event here, or by following XPT on instagram.
Elsewhere around town, Chef Gilberto will be hosting A Prehispanic Dinner on Tuesday. This meal hearkens back to the ancestral roots of Costa Rican cuisine. Enjoy a dinner that focuses on the techniques and preparations that have survived in the country for millennia. Altogether, the event promises to be a timeless moment of connection together with family and friends.
On Wednesday, the Beach Club will be hosting Mastering the Art of the Gallo, an exploration of a classic Costa Rican boquita (small bite). Whether you’re watching a football game at the local soda; or enjoying a party with friends, you’re sure to find gallos. This course will be a treat whether you’re new to gallos or a seasoned pro.
And finally on Sunday, Santarena will be hosting their weekly brunch, winding down an exciting week with a satisfying, refreshing meal from the Santarena culinary team.
Altogether, it's a busy and memorable week here in Las Catalinas. It just goes to show why we're one of the more exciting and enjoyable places to call home.
